Comedy Kings!

Quite recently I was privileged to see Cannon and Ball live at a Gospel show and even though they did the same kind of humor that you would have expected to see 20 years ago, the timing was perfect and there wasn’t a ‘groan’ in the house! An excellent, excellent show.

Growing up i was accustomed to seeing Tommy and Bobby on TV on Saturday nights and, just as I loved them then, I love them now – if not more so as they have stood the test of time (with a self confessed short break on the private communication side of things for a couple of years in the middle as their egos needed a little earthing – but being so popular, so quick would do that to nearly anybody!).

Their simple, cheeky humor tickled even the ‘chaviest’ of audience members making it a cracking night for all.

The ‘point’ behind the show was to share the message of the Gospel – effectively saying that they have found God to be real and stressing the need for others to step out in responding to His invitation to know Him too. So even in the lightest of contexts, they still pulled no punches. Top quality stuff.

ROCK ON TOMMY!
